Beste Toparlak to give recital May 23, 2021
Beste Toparlak, a new member of our Charlotte Chapter of the American Harp Society, plans to share her gifts with the chapter and the community in a spring recital on May 23, 2021.
Beste moved to Charlotte last year after winning the harp substitute audition with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. She continues her stellar performing career in both solo and chamber ensemble settings.
In May 2019, she graduated from the Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music’s Artist Diploma Program after studying with distinguished Professor, Susann McDonald and Elzbieta Szmyt. Professor McDonald describes Beste as “an outstanding young artist with beautiful tone quality and superb musicianship.” She further states, that her repertoire is wide, including harp solos, chamber music and concerti.
A tour of Beste’s website, www.bestetoparlak.com confirms this high praise. Her website well displays the range of her international experience with orchestras, conductors, composers and competitions. You can experience her artistry in video recordings from performances, audio clips of her broad repertoire and even a short sound clip of her own arrangement of Nuvole Blanche (White Clouds) written by Ludovico Einaudi.
